Hey pureirish – Zarkava’s best TF is 133. Now, after the Classic, Zenyatta’s TF is 131 (Goldikova’s is one better at 132). I’m just curious. Don’t you think that Zenyatta won the Classic with MUCH more in the tank? TF can’t quantify that – TF can only quantify how a horse performs – not a horse like Zen – a dead closer – that only does what is necessary to win. I don’t want to dis Zarkava at all. She’s incredible. I just think Zen maybe coulda scored a higher TF if she had been pushed.
She was an exceptional filly, but not as good as Sea the Stars in my opinion.
The really exciting news is that STS is standing at one of the Aga Khans studs in Ireland and his Highness is quoted as planning to cover Zarkava with Sea the Stars. His moto Breed the Best with the Best. What a foal to look forward to.

Dommage que Zarkava ne soit pas restée à l’entrainement à 4 ans, elle aurait mérité alors d’être comparée à la fabuleuse Allez France. Quant à Sea the stars, il ne m’a pas impressionné . Zarkava m’a ébloui alors que lui il a gagné en champion. C’est tout. Je pense qu’e des chevaux comme Dancing Brave ou Mill Reef étaient supérieurs à Sea the stars. Et je ne parle pas de Sea Bird.
Probably right but I wouldnt be so sure. Sea the Stars is only coming to his own ..In saying that I think Rip Van winkle will beat Sea the stars if they meet again. Watch the race when they met a couple of months ago. The jockey wasnt watching what he was doing and ran straight into the back of the second horse when Rip was flying home.
I agree, I say enjoy what we are seeing on the track and forget the arguments as this powerhouse group of fillies is not likely to happen again in a while

Yes, on Dirt RA and Zenyatta would rule
On turf, Goldikova and Zarkava would be better, especially on soft. They’ll probably never race against each other, so why argue about who’s better.
thats very fair to say Zarkava was the best in 2008… however i think it would be between goldikova and RA for the best filly in the world at the moment!!! i do believe RA has more gears than zenyatta thou. if anything i think zenyatta takes away the spot light from RA cos over here when ever american racing is discussed the top horse seems to be zenyatta and i dont believe for one second that she could beat RA! RA looks to be the top filly in america by a long long shot!!!
i can definitely live with that. it would have been a fantastic race, but i guess we’ll just have to award each horse her place in our rankings without having faced the other.
personally, i do believe that Rachel Alexandra is a faster horse than Zenyatta, but again, as i’ve mentioned, horse racing is unpredictable. i would still like to see the two CURRENT superfillies race. However, as RA’s owners are refusing to race her on synthetics, Zen’s preferred surface, that may never happen either.

If a Sea The Stars-Zarkava superfoal gets as far as the Arc….oh baby!
Looking at this is seems they won in similar fashion…
and by the way zenyatta beat ginger punch by 4 lengths on the dirt so she has not only raced on synthetics!!
i cant wait until zarkava is bred to sea the stars that horse is going to be a freak male or female!!!
