Quartz du chanu is out of the first génération of the stallion L’Arc de Triomphe. He is three year’s old and it is his first ridden jumps.

well i think you will find that the horse in this video is bred for the job the people that are there obviously know what they are doing.. and this horse will have been loosejumped on several occasions before hand… the rider is not interfering with the horse in any way… so reality check this is how the big time horses start there carrear its bred for this

Of course this is a regular routine horses dont jump like this first time and you would have to be very nieave to think they do . I know this from experience todays horses are very different from the old types that were breed in the old days . Warmbloods miture fast and most are fully growen at three years old its costly to keep these horses and they are breed for sport most are very well looked after and trained by experienced people.

That’s good to hear. I completely agree. It’s too easy to ruin them early on. Why take that risk when it’s been proven time and time again?
1970 World Champion – David Broome (a real Horse man) would not even jump a 4 year old – he starts jumping under saddle at 5. Think, good horses go on then until 15 or 16 ! If you start too young they will never see 16.
Gorgeous for a three year old, but I hope this isn’t a regular routine. While some horses are large enough to carry humans by three, they are still growing and adjusting internally (tendons, muscles, etc). Jumping at a young age can ruin their legs for later in life. Not sure if this is the case, but he looks great for a first time.

Wow this horse is beautiful, he is very scopy and has a beautiful bascule over the fence!
